Uncovered real truth is not adaptable to the tastes of society or the needs of the elites.
God has exposed what He has chosen about Himself, His prepare, and His standards. He is not seeking for human approval or a favorable editorial in a secular publication.
Quite the opposite: Of the nations of the earth, David writes, “But You, O Lord, laugh at them You keep all the nations in derision” (Psalm 58:eight).
Here is what Isaiah states God thinks of human endorsement of Who He is and What He declares:
Behold, the nations are like a drop from a bucket,
And are accounted as the dust on the scales
Behold, He will take up the coastlands like fantastic dust …
All the nations are as practically nothing before Him,
They are accounted by him as considerably less than nothing at all and emptiness …
(He) provides princes to nothing at all, and tends to make the rulers of the earth as emptiness. (Isaiah 40:fifteen, seventeen, 23)
This reality is not “adaptable.” It does not conform alone to the spirit of the age and the expressions of that spirit in viewpoint polls or the arguments of the self-anointed.
None of the Bible’s truths are malleable. We accept and post to them or discover ourselves beneath God’s judgment.
Seem severe? Just take it up with Jesus: “Woe to you, when all men and women converse properly of you, for so their fathers did to the fake prophets” (Luke six:26). He enjoys us immeasurably, which is why He turned “sin for us” on the cross, having the everlasting punishment we are worthy of on our behalf (II Corinthians 5:21). He also is imponderably holy, and His specifications of proper and incorrect are not described by democratic consensus.
When the Left calls on Christians to accommodate to evil, whether or not related to human sexuality, relationship, the destruction of unborn human daily life, the commodification of girls, conscience-violating federal law or no matter what else, trustworthy believers will graciously but firmly say “no.” For this immovable stand, we invariably will face tough if not painful consequences.
Jesus did. He informed His disciples that “no servant is greater than His master” (John thirteen:sixteen), and He was crucified. The route of discipleship is the way of the cross, no matter whether that indicates the decline of social place, expert attainment, family members approval, or physical persecution, even demise. In the electrical power of God’s Spirit, Christians need to get ready.
