Lincoln’s remarkable, seven hundred-term speech is a meditation on God’s will throughout a time of countrywide disaster and enormous bloodshed, the Civil War.  It also demonstrates the sixteenth President’s internalization of the Phrase of God and how it affected his comprehending of this great American trial.

Go through Daniel’s perceptive piece, and be part of with Lincoln in remembering that “the judgments of the Lord are true, and righteous completely.”
